Bridgwater United Women FC have strengthened their squad with the addition of attacker Rosie Hill, bringing in a player with valuable experience in the FA Women’s National League.

Hill arrives after spending the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons with Portishead Town, where she gained senior experience at just 16 years of age. Hill has spent time at the University of Manchester, playing and studying since. Known for her wide attacking threat, she adds another option in the final third for Bridgwater as they continue preparing for the new season.

On signing for Bridgwater, Hill said, “I’m really excited to be signing for Bridgwater. We have a really talented group of players and great staff, and there’s a real ambition within the team to achieve big things this season.

“I’ve really enjoyed pre-season and have felt so welcomed by everyone at the club. I’m very keen to contribute as much as I can and see what we can achieve together this season. I can’t wait to get the league campaign underway on Sunday!””

Steve Perkins said, “Rosie is another exciting forward player who joined us during pre-season, bringing with her previous experience of playing at Tier 4 level.

“She has excellent athletic qualities, works incredibly hard and has continued to improve with every session she’s had with us. We’ve already seen plenty of glimpses of what she can bring to the group, and there’s still lots more to come from her.

“Rosie has settled into the squad really well and we’ve welcomed her with open arms. We’re delighted to have her with us and can’t wait to see her get going when the season starts.”

The move is another positive step for the Robins, who are looking to build momentum as they target a strong 2026/27 campaign. Hill’s arrival gives the team extra competition for places and added energy in attack, as Bridgwater look to push on in FA Women’s National League Division One South West, which commences this Sunday with a trip to face Bristol Rovers.
