Bridgwater United Women FC are delighted to announce the signing of Gracie Binns, a 17-year-old full back, ahead of game week two.

Gracie joins having previously played at Portishead Town LFC, and becomes the latest addition to our squad as we prepare for our second match in another exciting campaign in the FA Women’s National League.

The move sees Gracie step into a new challenge with Bridgwater United, joining a squad that has been strengthened throughout the summer as the club continues to build for the future.

Binns said, “I am really excited to be joining Bridgwater United this upcoming season. Everyone has been welcoming and I’m excited to get out on the pitch and play.

“Even though I came to the club later on in pre season, it’s clear the team shares the same set goal and success will come from that with this group of girls. I plan to be a great contribution to the team, on and off the pitch, and give 110% to help the team reach our end goal. 

“I want the team to be as successful as I know we can be, and I can’t wait to start my journey with this club.”

Head Coach Steve Perkins said, “For a young player, Gracie already has valuable experience of Tier 4 football and is someone we believe has huge potential to go on and play at a higher level in the future.

“Gracie is excellent on the ball, has fantastic athletic qualities and is particularly strong in 1v1 situations. She’s an exciting player with so much potential, and we’re looking forward to helping her continue to develop.

“I can’t wait to see Gracie progress throughout the season and hopefully achieve plenty of success in this new environment.”

With the season now underway, Gracie will be looking to settle into her new surroundings and play her part as Bridgwater United Women continue their ambitions both on and off the pitch.
