Bridgwater United Women FC shortlisted for Sedgemoor Business Excellence Award

Bridgwater United Women FC is proud to have been shortlisted for the Excellence Through Teamwork award at the Sedgemoor Business Excellence Awards 2026.

The recognition celebrates the hard work, commitment and collective effort that goes into building and developing the club, both on and off the pitch.

The shortlist follows a successful period of progress for Bridgwater United Women FC, with the club continuing to strengthen its position in the FA Women’s National League while investing in its wider football pathway, commercial partnerships and matchday experience.

However, the club’s progress is about much more than results on the pitch. It is built on the collective contribution of players, coaches, staff, volunteers, sponsors, partners and supporters, all playing their part in creating a sustainable, ambitious and inclusive football club.

As a stand-alone women’s football club, Bridgwater United Women FC is committed to putting people first, creating an environment where individuals can develop and thrive, and continuing to raise the profile of women’s football across the region.

The Sedgemoor Business Excellence Awards recognise the achievements of businesses and organisations across the local area. This year’s awards attracted more than 160 entries, making the standard of competition particularly strong. Being named on the shortlist is therefore a significant achievement for everyone connected with the club.

The awards ceremony will take place on Friday 20 November 2026 at Batch Country House, bringing together businesses, charities, organisations and community leaders from across Somerset to celebrate local success.
