Bridgwater United Women FC is delighted to announce that its Reserve Team will compete in the South West Women’s Regional Football League (Southern Division) from the 2026/27 season.

The move will see the Reserves play at Tier 6 of the Women’s Football Pyramid, providing a new and exciting challenge for the club’s developing players while strengthening the pathway between the club’s youth, reserve and first-team structures.

Having previously competed in the FA Women’s National League Reserve League, the transition into the regional pyramid represents an important step in the continued growth and progression of women’s football at Bridgwater United. Competing within the National League System will allow the side to play for promotion and relegation, offering meaningful competitive opportunities and helping to accelerate player development.

The club believes the move will provide an ideal environment for emerging talent to gain valuable experience against senior opposition while preparing players for potential progression into the First Team.
