THE LEAGUE LEADERS ARE HOME AGAIN!
Six wins from six. Eighteen goals scored. Just three conceded. And a remarkable comeback against title rivals Moneyfields last weekend.
Bridgwater United Women return to The Ethan Berry Pavilion this Sunday looking to continue their outstanding start to the FA Women’s National League campaign, as Bournemouth Sports WFC make the journey to Somerset.
Bridgwater United Women produced one of the performances of the season last weekend, coming from two goals behind at half-time to defeat Moneyfields 4–2 away from home. The result not only maintained the Robins’ perfect league record but opened up a six-point gap at the top of the FA Women’s National League.
Now, attention turns to another important afternoon in front of the home supporters.
With confidence growing, performances improving and the crowds continuing to back the club in increasing numbers, the Robins will be determined to make home advantage count once again.
But there is no room for complacency. Bournemouth Sports will arrive looking to upset the league leaders, and the players will need to be at their best to secure another three points.
THE LEAGUE TABLE
Bridgwater United could hardly have asked for a better start to the league season.
Six victories from six matches have put the Robins firmly at the summit, with their attacking output and defensive record underlining the strength of their early-season form.
Bournemouth Sports, meanwhile, will be looking to climb the table and build consistency as the campaign develops.
The visitors have shown they can score goals, netting ten times in their opening six league fixtures, and will be determined to make life difficult for the league leaders.
The challenge: Bridgwater must combine the confidence of their winning run with the focus and intensity required to overcome a side with plenty to play for.
LATEST FORM
Bridgwater United Women
The Robins have won all six of their league fixtures so far, scoring 18 goals and conceding just three.
Their most recent outing was a superb 4–2 victory away at Moneyfields. Trailing 2–0 at the interval, Bridgwater responded brilliantly after the break.
Meg Jarvis pulled a goal back shortly after half-time before Beatriz Kretteis levelled the scores. Jarvis then converted from the penalty spot to complete the turnaround, with Aimee Kingdon adding a fourth to seal a memorable win.
It was a performance built on character, belief and determination — qualities that will be vital throughout a long season.
The Robins have also made an impressive start at their new home, winning their opening league fixtures at The Ethan Berry Pavilion without conceding a goal.
Bournemouth Sports WFC
Bournemouth Sports arrive in Somerset having endured a more challenging opening to their league campaign.
Their first six fixtures have brought two victories and four defeats, with ten goals scored and thirteen conceded.
That record, however, should not lead to any underestimation of the visitors. Bournemouth have demonstrated their ability to find the net, and they will see Sunday’s fixture as an opportunity to make a statement against the division’s leading side.
The Robins will need to start strongly, maintain their discipline and avoid giving their opponents opportunities to settle into the game.

ONES TO WATCH
Bridgwater United
Meg Jarvis
Jarvis was instrumental in last weekend’s comeback, scoring twice against Moneyfields, including the penalty that put Bridgwater ahead for the first time. Her contribution in important moments makes her one to watch again on Sunday.
Beatriz Kretteis
Kretteis provided the equaliser against Moneyfields, helping to turn the momentum of the match. Her contribution in the second half demonstrated the attacking threat Bridgwater can pose when the team finds its rhythm.
Manfy Sharpe
Sharpe not only captains the side, but also helps lead the defensive back line. Her organisation, strength and experience has lead to Bridgwater’s defensive ability so far this season, making the team hard to beat.
Bournemouth Sports
Bournemouth’s attacking output suggests the visitors have players capable of causing problems if given space and opportunities.
Molly Gladwell
Gladwell has found the net 5 times already this season. She has also played every single minute of every league game so far.
Chloe Sheffield
Sheffield is another to watch, and a threat in front of goal. With 4 goals in 630 mins played so far.
The Robins will need to be alert to the threat across the pitch, defend as a unit and make sure their opponents have to work hard for every chance.

THE ETHAN BERRY PAVILION: THE CROWDS ARE GROWING!
One of the most exciting developments around Bridgwater United Women this season has been the growing support at The Ethan Berry Pavilion.
The club’s new home has already welcomed some excellent crowds.
These numbers reflect the growing appetite for women’s football in the local community and the work taking place across the club to make matchdays an experience for players, families, sponsors and supporters alike.
Every person through the turnstiles makes a difference. Every voice from the touchline adds to the atmosphere. And every new supporter helps strengthen the future of the club.
The ambition is to keep building — on the pitch, in the stands and throughout the community.
WE NEED YOU BEHIND THE ROBINS!
Last weekend’s comeback showed what this team is capable of when belief and determination come together.
Now imagine the impact of a packed home crowd getting behind the players from the first whistle.
The FA Women’s National League is competitive, the season is long, and every point matters. The players are working hard to deliver success, but the support around them is an important part of what makes this club special.
Whether you’re a regular supporter, a season-ticket holder, a family looking for a great afternoon out, or someone who has never watched women’s football before, Sunday is the perfect opportunity to come along and be part of it.
Bring your friends. Bring your family. Wear your colours. Make some noise.
MORE THAN JUST 90 MINUTES
Bridgwater United Women are building something that extends beyond the first team.
The club’s ambition is to develop women’s football across the region, create opportunities for young players and provide a positive, inclusive environment in which players and supporters can thrive.
From the senior squad to the development pathway and youth teams, the focus is on creating a sustainable future for women’s football in Somerset.
Every supporter who attends, every volunteer who gives their time and every local business that backs the club contributes to that vision.
Sunday is another opportunity to show what can be achieved when a club and its community move forward together.
